Have you ever wondered what happens when women run the set? When a film is written, produced and crewed by women? When women leverage their collective creative and economic power to make a media project successful?  Newark Women In Film (NWIF) is open to all women with a particular interest in women of color. This media group is created by the combined efforts of all participants. There are many different ways you can actively participate in making Newark Women In Film, a fun and meaningful experience for us all!
This group is intended to be a production think tank and a safe space for media development.

Newark Women In Film is dedicated to promoting equal opportunities in media for all women by encouraging and sustaining creative projects for women, and expanding and enhancing portrayals of women in all forms of global media; with a particular interest in women of color. Newark Women In Film is a multimedia, film, Television, digital, visual and new media organization who identifies their gender, gender identity, energy, presentation, and/or a combination of that as female, as femme and/or woman of center.
